• went to another excellent (and less punishingly alcoholic) party last night, met lots of interesting people, was Admired and informed of own Brilliance, met small gay dogs
• am not hungover
• have hit my nano target today

bad:

• too late to buy interesting foods from posh farm people
• winter makes me crazy

Sucks about your dad, and I totally get how seemingly-nice stuff can be crappy when it's a setup for emotional manipulation.

One of us needs to be stupidly rich so I can fly you here and help you escape winter and look at bonobos and spend time with my cuddly little hooligan of a cat. (I've got a squirt gun on order to teach her to stop attacking my feet while I'm trying to sleep, or indeed, at all. It's embarrassing how much I have to remind myself "Cat draws blood, I get cat annoyingly damp" isn't me being unreasonably mean.)
