1) That graphic does the opposite for me. :( Silly graphic.

2) I am disappointed in your subconscious for not turning Jack-Harkness-trying-to-arrest-you into sexytiems-with-handcuffs. For shame.

3) Hi, Derek.

1) Does having a purpose in life and being universally important have a huge factor in your self-worth, B? That is kind of insecure.

2) I have no libido atm. Even subconsciously. YAY DEPRESSION.

1) Only KIND OF insecure? Not necessarily universally important, just...important. To anyone.

2) :( I will punch your depression in the face, if you want.

So you missed the bit underneath where I said "important to the people who love you"? Cosmic unimportant should be a given. Anyone who thinks no one cares about them is wrong, anyone who thinks the universe cares about them is a loony. IMO. Etc.

Whatever I do or don't do, the universe continues.

If I ever again have some spare cash, I'd love to get PtP for kindle, omg.

Aww, one day. In the meantime I was going to ask if you wanted me to start offering fics for cash as well if it might help with your situation?

On the topic of the poster at the top: I worked on an existentialist play once, and our group was known for going out for food after rehearsals and we talked about this theme a lot; I just couldn't get people to see that the existential argument of "nothing matters" is liberating. It didn't matter if we screwed up the play for reasons beyond our control (see: being locked out of our dressing room), and we could take that message home. But everyone just became depressed over the course of the play and drank a lot.

Nihilism is uplifting and yet everyone claims nihilism means MISERY MISERY.

Indeed. And, for me, choosing a nihilistic outlook means that I will then back off and say I don't even insist on telling anyone that it is the only way to live (i.e., don't know, can't know, won't argue). But even that is too threatening, haha.
