I've been weirdly tired and getting naps and things, so maybe your extra sleep's been sent over to me by mistake? I can try sending it back if you like - I don't like sleeping anyway, and would happily give it up completely if I wasn't so tired when I did. (Also, after too many days in a row, a cloud of nonexistent gnats settles in front of my face more-or-less permanently, which is annoying.)

Lack of sleep makes me hallucinate! Well, lots of things make me hallucinate, like "being alive", but lack of sleep exacerbates it. Today all the women on the tube had dark smudges for faces. JUST THE WOMEN. Was that social commentary from my subconscious or something?

So far, it's only lack of sleep for me. And it has to be pretty bad. If not, I mostly get this not-quite-hallucination thing where I'm constantly seeing stuff out of the corner of my eye and going "Is that a rat? No, now that I look straight at it, it's a shadow! But is that thing in the other direction a snake? No, it's an electrical cord." Like I can tell what I'm looking at straight on, but if I don't look straight at it, it turns into all kinds of weird shit.

That's weird about the women. I'd be irrationally tempted to read something into it. Once, during a bad stretch of insomnia, people started sparkling. I was terribly convinced I'd found the answer to Twilight in some way, but then I got some sleep and I forgot what my idea had been.
