Things are... things are better. He's not trying to control her. He's not trying to tell her she can't do this. He believes she can, and he has faith

Iroh was outside, walking around the perimeter of the apartments, just...looking, thinking, arms together in front of him and hidden in the sleeves of his robes.
He was humming to himself, as he was wont to do.
At the war meeting, he had not had much to say, but then that was because he had always been wise enough to listen to those that had better ideas than he did.
Where he was best was at the execution.
"I suppose you are looking for training," he said, without looking up. He was still looking at the wall as one might look at the moon and stars--there were no moon and stars to look at here.
"You'll get plenty of that here," he shakes his head with a smirk. "Owe you a spar one day too, don't I?"
Jim's never actually sparred with anyone before, technically. But after his training lately, he figures he might actually keep up with people this time.
Padme was here at the last training session, you just didn't see her. No, really.
At any rate, she's been re-training herself since she got her weight back from eating regularly. She's not at absolute top form, but she's still got her quickness and most of her strength back.
She begins to stretch out and move, feeling the quickness return to her arms and legs again. Years of constant training for self-defence tend to come back quickly.
Spoon's been pushing himself like hell lately; for someone who joined the Army because all the other jobs were shite, he's come a long way in attitude. Today, he thinks, would be a good day to take the training a few steps further.
Oh, hey. New face on the training grounds. Spoon waves.
And there is a Hellboy, wandering over to see how the little moppets are doing. He stands in the back, hands loose at his side, and watches with dark, glowing eyes.
Mel smiles as she works, flushed with effort and quite clearly enjoying herself, despite the lack of any actual challenge. It's just nice to have something to do.
She grins when she sees Hellboy, having pretty much exhausted the supply of opponents, and with a glance at Iroh to be excused, jogs over.
"It's goin' alright. I was gonna round up Spoon an' a couple of the others for a mall run. We ain't been since we got the car an' all -- and we really ought t'."
First thing a smart enemy does is destroy the supply line. "What about you, kiddo? Givin' 'em all hell?"

She still tires quicker than she should, but she's determined not to let that stop her.

Jim stops stretching as he notes Mel walking into the area. He stares at the stake for a moment before shaking his head. Not gonna ask, really.
"Ready for five hours of 'fun'?"

"You bet I am. I've missed getting some action."
Shagging Zuko appraently doesn't count.

She grins at Padme as she warms up herself, jogging on the spot with energy.
"Hey. Padme, right?"

She's bouncing on her toes, concentrating largely on getting her muscles to rememeber their movements.

But then she blinks, and stares up at him, eyes lighting up. "We have a car?"
