Iroh was outside, walking around the perimeter of the apartments, just...looking, thinking, arms together in front of him and hidden in the sleeves of his robes.
He was humming to himself, as he was wont to do.

"I suppose you are looking for training," he said, without looking up. He was still looking at the wall as one might look at the moon and stars--there were no moon and stars to look at here.
Iroh turned to look at her now. "I train soldiers," he said to her. "Soldiers fight side-by-side with their countrymen. They follow orders--or at the very least, plans of attack. "I'm not a warrior," she says. He thinks she is, but she isn't. "Don't think I'd be a good soldier. But I want to help. I want to fight with people. I want to be a part of this.
"But I also want to be the one who kills my brother."
and she can't do that unless she gets a helluva lot better.

Clapped his hands together and smiled. "Well, that's settled then, niece. When are we getting started? Right now would be good; the sun's almost up."

"So..." he started conversationally. "When should I start preparing for my grandchildren?"

"When we've been rutting for more than a few weeks," she says firmly.
So it's more like two months. She was unconscious for a fortnight of that.

"Fair enough. At least you've loosened him up a bit. I always did think it would take the love of a good woman to do that for him."
