aph_ficgames is a team-oriented fic competition, but every single participant will be contributing individually in order to rack up points for their team, bring honor and glory to the family tree, &c&c. There are four different teams, and each team concentrates on a different theme:
Team Alternate Universe (AU): This is your Italian mafia hitmen, your Russian ballerinas, not to mention space operas, gakuen, circus, pirates, wizards, and everything else!
Team What-If: The Cold War never happens, America lost his fight for independence, Hungary really is a guy who got hitched to Austria against his will.
Team Future: Futurefic. Which means the canon that we associate with Hetalia becomes the past.
Team Present: Canonfic. Can deal with anything from the past to present; it just has to be compliant with Hetalia canon.

That's right, you get three whole months to work on 2000 words! Our deadlines-timer for submissions is clocked at PST. Posting times will vary.

In signing up, you agree to:
a) Turn-in a fic to us between 2,000-10,000 words on the deadline listed above,
b) Follow your prompt and the theme of your team to the best of your ability,
c) Refrain from talkin' smack if you don't receive your first choice for a team,
d) Contact us if you decide you can't do it,
e) Obey german_referee at all costs. And it'll certainly cost you more if you don't.

Sign up for as many teams and pairings as you'd like. There are no limits pairing possibilities and you can put anything, including gen. Please keep in mind that rarer pairings, depending on interest, may later be simply referred to as a 'rare pair'.
Here's a tip: Team members will be arranged and selected based on pairing diversity (because we like diversity!). If you really want to write AU and don't care about the pairing, you can put 'anything' for the pairings to increase your chances of slotting a place on Team AU. The reverse is also true. No one is guaranteed a fosho spot on a team. Not even if you give us a sexy dance.
Last bit! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM a mod or leave a comment in the box. The austrian.bookkeeper@gmail.com is also at your service. Our Austrian bookkeeper is a very reliable fellow. He will also be taking the fic submissions. Please be nice to him, because he has very sensitive feelings.
