Snow. And lots of it.

Of course the prancing musician in the green sock hat had to choose that particular day to go exploring. Blizzard? What blizzard? There were ghosts to piss off and probably things to trip over in snow drifts up to her knees. If she had it her way, Rubi would've waited for a warmer day in midsummer to commit paranormal suicide rather than being frozen into a human popsicle. She didn't like the cold. Especially after that blasted naughty/nice list bullshit ( ... )

Link put the ocarina away and tucked his chin more firmly into his coat. He quite liked it - it had a hood, like a good cloak, and was lined inside with thick padding and had a fur collar. It didn't feel like the fur he was used to, but still.

"Hey Fierce. Hello, Rubi," he said to both of them. He then turned around and began walking into the station. "Hopefully it'll be a bit warmer in here." All the same, he was glad he brought his tunic. Still, the heat resistence seemed to work a lot better on the higher end of the scale, and while he wasn't as cold while wearing it, it didn't regulate his temperature comfortably at all.

He clambered over the old barriers and down onto the track, not wasting any time. "If the train comes, I'll cast Nayru's Love. It shouldn't hurt us then." He was rummaging in his pack when he said that, and eventually produced a torch.

Deep within the tunnel, there was a thin, sharp cry. Link gave his companions a smile, turned the torch on, and pointed it down the tunnel. "Let's go."

"Yet being the operative word." She growled, "Whether it's fifteen minutes to a damn hour, we're going to freeze fine either way." Rubi pulled a face and tugged her scarf up a little higher up over her mouth prior to unbuttoning the front of her heavy coat to check that her revolvers were securely in place. If something happened, it would be best to be able to reach her weapons even if that meant sacrificing that little extra warmth from a closed jacket ( ... )

"I thought about using a Light Arrow," said Link, his eyes sliding over to Fierce, to see if he thought using something so sacred like a torch was blasphemous or not. It was difficult to see in the gloom. He lifted one shoulder in a half-shrug. "But I felt that the only time attracting the things wouldn't matter would be when they were already on us, and I don't want that to happen. If it goes out, it goes out ( ... )

Rolling her shoulders to keep herself from developing a knot, Rubi cast a sideways glare at the Deity with all the sarcasm of a...well... really sarcastic person. "I guess we'll find out soon enough, snowflake." With that being said, she hastily scooted forwards to walk beside Link in case Fierce fancied taking a swat at her for the clever nickname. It was hardly her fault he happened to look like someone had dumped a coat of white paint over him, right?

While she walked, Rubi waved away the proferred hat but gave the Hylian a grin and a wink in return. The offer was appreciated, at least.

It seemed as if the very air they breathed became heavier and heavier the further they went into the tunnel. In fact, Malone could swear she could taste the dank, dead energy clinging to her skin despite knowing full well there was nothing touching her. She never enjoyed the feeling of being watched, especially by malicious ghosts with zero respect for a girl's personal space. Just as that thought came, something quite solid bounced off her ( ... )
