Badou's very first impression was not that he had let a teenaged girl (and certainly NOT a ninja) into the apartment, but instead that he had let in a vibrating ball of energy, the sort that, once it was released would ricochet unceasingly off of every available surface until someone bodyslammed on top of it taking one for the team...kind of like that thing in Men in Black that caused the 1977 New York blackout
( ... )
Heine visibly tensed all over again as Badou skittered out the room, shooting a horrible glare in the general direction that he'd vanished off in. What the hell was that jackass up to now?
His eyes slowly moved over to Misao on the couch then and an awkward silence hung on the air.
He licked his lips in as subtle a gesture as he could manage before sighing and resting his chin sort of roughly in the palm of his hand.
"You play them on a TV, usually." He began to try and explain, giving a half-nod in the direction of the currently silent box at the other side of the room "You hook up a console to it-- the machine that lets you play the game, load it up, grab a controller and play. You move whatever you're controlling on the screen depending on the game. Little man, or coloured shapes, or target sight, or whatever."
There were no prizes for whoever wanted to point out that Heine was really bad at this first.
Misao was too busy watching Badou run off that she didn't notice Heine's initial discomfort. The tiny girl was sure dense sometimes. She did her job as a ninja well enough, but she was just so trusting that she didn't think to keep an eye on her companions at the moment. She was comfortable around Heine and Badou, and didn't think they could be otherwise. She would figure it out eventually.
She blinked at Heine's explanation. "Wow, I never thought ya could play games on the picture box--uh, tv!
"So, what game is your favorite?" she asked inquisitively, giving him a curious grin.
Badou (perhaps mercifully and thanks to some benevolent celestial being who disdained awkward silences and strained conversations) was not gone long. When he returned from the kitchen a few moments later, he was holding a stack of three plastic cups of various colors. There was nothing in them--he hadn't left for refreshments--but he set one down (upside down, in fact) on the coffee table in front of each of his companions nonetheless.
A few times Heine was grateful when Badou appeared on the scene again. This was one such time. The idea of having to state a favourite game to Misao and explain it was just... Well, the idea was less than appealing to him really.
That didn't stop him from looking at Badou as though he really had finally lost it as he plopped the cups down in front of each of them.
He didn't question his friend's motives vocally, but he did give him the look that said 'what the hell are you doing?'.
Badou stared at her for a moment, not quite sure whether to take the question seriously. He took a drag on his smoke, then set the cigarette in the ashtray beside him. "Actually, these are cups. Watch."
And so saying he took his hands to the cup before him, which he'd set on the table upside down. The pattern went like this: clap-clap-tap-tap-tap-clap-move over-clap-grab-up-down-exchange-over hand with the cup passing to his right by the time he was done.
He did it once, grinned across the table at his two companions, and then did it again, only faster. "You do it," he suggested, nodding towards the other two cups on the table.
[OOC: The game Badou is trying to teach them is this. I imagine it might go something like that as well... It confounds my attempts at description, so have a video instead.]

"Nope."
But she was curious to know! The brightly colored cups held her attention, and she peered at them curiously.
"Are these video games?"
She really was a clueless one. At least, when it came to technology. Not that cups were technology.
