Birthday and camp, Part II

Jul 15, 2017 23:41

For MiniPlu's official birthday, last Thurs (13 Jul), she had one request: for me to take her and a couple of friends to the beach. ( Beach, lunch, and dinner - the good, the bad and the ugly )

miniplu, birthdays, two, trans, travel

Yeah, it's hard coping with tiredness, the end of a good week, and being somewhere you can just be yourself.

He's mostly settled back in to Real Life again, but I know he's eager to go back for Family Camp at the end of August.

Sorry to hear MiniPlu's birthday wasn't all good ...

Hope Two is over his post camp blues by now.

Yep, now he's just back to his ordinary ornery-ness. ;-)

Ugh at Rob and the guests' lateness/ineptness adding some negatives to MiniPlu's birthday dinner, but it sounds like a pretty nice day overall, despite some setbacks.

And yay for Two having had a good time at camp but boo to the post-camp brattiness. It is hard to get back to "real life" even ordinarily, and I can only imagine how much harder it must be for him. I hope he's over it, though. And it's good there's the Family Camp to look forward to (but boy you guys are traveling all over this summer!)

Yeah, definitely a lot of travel, more than we've ever had in a single summer before. MiniPlu is concerned that Two is going to be a complete brat in Hawaii. He's already said that the only thing he's interested in is the hotel pool so she's gearing up for a lot of fussing over any other activity we might try to fit in. He's already demanded that he sit next to me for the entire flight out (our seats are 2 and 2, in sequential rows) and won't entertain the thought of shifting seats at any point in the long flight, and just in general, he's been such a PITA at points, that MiniPlu is dreading Hawaii when she should really be looking forward to it. Hopefully it will turn out better than she's fearing. (I would prefer that, as well!)
