I've seen Victory pictures before, but I'm not sure where they came from...
Trincomalee isn't really a big ship, but the website has a couple of pictures of the captain's cabin - none of the other officers', though, which are tiny - narrow bed, chair and small table, basically.
Sorry to pop in where I don't belong, but your question sparked a memory in my mind.
I'm not sure if these are good pictures, but I had the opportunity to tour a few sailing ships, and took a few pictures of cabins. You can see them in my journal, linked to below.
I can't say they are good pictures, I was taking the shots directly into the sunlight streaming through the stern windows of the Victory and they look a bit blurred but there are a few photos of Nelson's cabin and the Captain's cabin on the Victory in this post -
Excellent! Thanks to all of you. It was very instructive, and I came to know a lot of things. One of the things that struck me is that affair of 4 to 8 people needed to move the wheel. Thus, all these movie scenes of one brave sailor at the wheel steering the whole monster with a big smile as if nothing was the matter are all malarkey??
