I have been neglecting DxW for my original writing and also not reading xholic. I think I've read the second latest chapter... the one where Doumeki comes into the shop and Wata is on the couch smoking. (I swear, I screamed at my computer "WTH Watanuki, stop trying to look cool!!!") I'm kind of scared to get back into it, especially after this (not because it was bad, but because the latest chapters sound very sad making.) D8

Well, the latest chapter wasn't quite so bad. We got Watanuki smiling, and grownup! Kohane, and a sort-of-explanation as to why Watanuki seems so lifeless lately.

It was mostly the tobacco smell that threw him off, because it reminded him of his grandfather, and, well, no matter how much he’d loved his grandfather, that wasn’t a mental image he wanted to have next to a half-naked Watanuki.

OH MY GOD, HAHAHAHA. POOR DOUMEKI, WATANUKI IS SUBCONSCIOUSLY COCKBLOCKING.

Are you certain it's only "subconsciously"? Remember, much as he's calmed down lately, this is still Watanuki we're talking about... and Watanuki would do anything to rain on Doumeki's parade. :P

That's true...pffft, poor Doumeki! That's even worse!

Sad, but that's life for ya. XD

Come to think of it, my Doumeki seems to be hopelessly in love with Watanuki, no matter what... and even rather pervy inside his own head (well, not pervy per sé, just healthily hyper aware of things as any male teenager usually is :P). Poor guy with a crush. *pats pats*

I think it's more a ficlet but hey....longer is better. :) Thanks for a little more cheerful take -- most of the fic posted lately has been doom and gloom. This would have been good any time but is especially welcome now. Looking forward to more drabbles (or whatever), whether individually or by threes.

Yeah, I wanted to write something more light-hearted because these last few chapters have seriously made the overall mood of xxxholic plummet...

The ones I'll be posting are going to be proper three-hundred-word drabbles (I somehow can't bring myself to write pure hundred-word drabbles yet), and several of them are rather cheerful, so look forward to them! :)

I love 104 fics and it's so rare to find a great one about them. My only complaint is that it's not long enough lol
