Thought I would stop in on the ol' journal and say that things are going well. I truly enjoy teaching and academia. I enjoy talking with other educated people. My classes are going well. Is it just me? Or is this really normal?
Perhaps this is just me, but these are the new policies for adjuncts at a college where I am teaching this semester.
- We-the instructor and the entire class-must stay in the classroom until the class is officially over. So if I teach a class from 8:00-9:20, then I and the entire class have to remain in the classroom until 9:20 by the classroom clock ( Read more... )

Last Friday, I worked on someone's pc because their hard drive had failed. Their computer infected mine. Later that night, my hard drive failed, and it did not fail gracefully. The Maxtor diag program gave this error message, "The hard drive failed within 17.3 seconds of starting the diagnostics. The hard drive is beyond imminent failure ( Read more... ) -

Just some thoughts.
In all my wisdom, I simply cannot fathom the hatred of the homosexual community. I realize the similarities between the hatred of these people and the hatred of blacks, Indians, Chinese, etc. But those who claim the most compassion offer the least towards those who are different.
