Last Friday, I worked on someone's pc because their hard drive had failed. Their computer infected mine. Later that night, my hard drive failed, and it did not fail gracefully. The Maxtor diag program gave this error message, "The hard drive failed within 17.3 seconds of starting the diagnostics. The hard drive is beyond imminent failure."
I just love it when non-native English speakers write these error messages.
I lost some of my data. Luckily enough, I do do backups. But I am looking at one of these two systems: The
Mirra or the
Netgear NPS.
Both of these systems do real time backups and the Mirra actually allows you to retrieve your files remotely (meaning when you are away from home). And the price is awesome. Now all I need is the money to purchase one of these.
