For all you beautiful people out there who are in love with one another, I'm sure today will be strewn with rose petals, drizzled in chocolate, and drenched with champagne. For the rest of us, there's always Emperor Norton's Birthday.

I'm quietly amusing myself by stringing my internal organs up with barbed wire.

Heh, have you met my boyfriend? Do you really think there's going to be chocolate and roses? Well, there will be if I buy myself some, but otherwise no goopy stuff for me. Good thing I've long been in the habit of buying myself chocolate. Chocolate fixes almost everything in my book.

You're right, that doesn't sound much like his style. Maybe you can work out some Valentine Sushi instead. And definitely chocolate, though probably not at the same time as the sushi.

Valentine Sushi (heart-shaped shashimi?) would be in order if he was here in NC, but the fool is vacationing in Pittsburgh. Over Valentine's Day. He's so romantic.

Still, this means I don't have to share any chocolate that might come into my possession, and that's a good thing.

The necklace is surprisingly wearable. I carefully filed all the pointy ends of the wires so as to make them rounded, and it's lightweight, and it didn't give me any trouble at all. The thing to watch out for would be someone suddenly yanking on it or something; that could be very nasty indeed.
