I would have had my first class this afternoon, only the school decided to close at 2:00 because of the weather. The people who had spent all morning fighting ice and traffic to get there were fairly upset about that. It's always dangerous to go shopping while I'm in town. Even though sometimes I find new pants, which is good, I also find new shoes. I was halfway between Utrecht and school when it started to hail. By the time I had gone another block, white drifts were piling up on the sidewalk, the gutters were overflowing, and I was completely soaked. I was completely disgusted with the whole idea of school today, so I ignored my homework altogether and did some cleaning. I picked up a huge messy pile of papers that's been under one of my chairs since the summer, and threw most of it away. I vacuumed in several directions.
