I will take the next five drabble requests. If you would like a drabble from me, please comment on this post with characters or a pairing and a prompt.

Jason licked his lips. "Sleek lines on that thing." He caressed the hood.
Tim smiled with quiet pride. "Aerodynamic. But, yeah. She has a certain elegance."
"Sweet ride, too. Looks powerful and silky smooth, but I'd bet we could handle the rough stuff." Jason's hands were still petting the hood, but he was watching Tim intently.
Tim shifted from one leg to the other. "She's great under the hood, too. Powerful as I could make her without compromising on weight."
Jason's grin turned predatory and he stalked forward. "Sleek and strong and bright red," he purred.
Tim blushed, and suppressed a shiver. "We're not talking about the Redbird anymore, are we?"
I wasn't sure that both Tim and Jason would fit in the Redbird, even without any, er, acrobatics. That's why this thing is set outside the 'Bird. Perhaps things continued against the Redbird's hood. Such as it is.
Prompt: Kon tries to figure out how to broach the "I'm not dead anymore" conversation with Tim. And also the Nightwing costume. Popped into my head from reading the New Krypton arc, but I'm sure it would be at least as interesting to read set outside that canonical background.

All right, so maybe Tim wouldn't be quite this skeptical. He knows how many heroes have returned from the dead. Let's assume he'll be satisfied once all the tests come in. He just can't bear to hope quite yet.The intruder looked exactly like Kon, but Robin couldn't let that influence him. Kon was dead. The intruder was an unknown Kryptonian who resembled Kon and Match and had many of Kon's mannerisms. And seemed to share some of his memories. Magical double? Refugee from a parallel universe? Clone? (Oh, the irony. It kind of made Tim want to cry. But that wasn't in Robin's protocol for this situations

Tim was carefully spooning up the last of his soft-boiled egg when Jason stumbled into the breakfast nook. Tim swallowed his last mouthful and reached for his whole wheat toast. "Good morning."
Jason muttered something incoherent and groped toward the coffee pot. His hair stuck out from his head at gravity-defying angles, and he looked rather like a disgruntled owl. Eventually, he fumbled himself a cup of coffee and inhaled it in one long swallow. " 'S a disgusting time t' be up," he slurred and poured himself another cup.
Tim didn't reply; Jason wouldn't hear him properly for another five minutes, anyway. Instead, he addressed himself to a small plate of fresh fruit.
Dick bounced in, improbably cheerful considering the time they had gotten back from patrol last night. He stole a strawberry from Tim's plate, but wisely left Jason his coffee. Some battles weren't worth fighting first thing in the morning.
Tim was afraid of her at first, he can admit that now. She knew so much about him, just by looking. She saw straight through the masks and the careful lies, saw him naked and vulnerable and known. He hated it

It was hard for Tim to look them in the eye, the day he brought them home. They were supposed to be his teammates, his friends. Not pets. Never pets

Thanks for the prompt! That would never have occurred to me on my own.
P.S. Are you new to my journal? If so, welcome. If not, I'm sorry I missed you.

In truth, I wasn't sure where to end this one. It does feel like the start of a longer scene. Maybe I'll work on that ...

How about Tim/Cass, TLC.

Cass is really good at what she does, and Timmy often has a few too many secrets. She can help with that.

okay now you have to write more about this world :)

I don't like this world much, though. It's less tolerant, even, than our own.
