Any AoS fans who have suddenly developed a burning interest in curling (yes mylodon I'm looking at you) might be interested in checking out the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer. The North West Castle is apparently unique in being the only hotel in the world that has its own full sized indoor curling rink.

I've heard of the place but never stayed there. Of course, I want to now.

And I so much want to try curling but it has broken ankle written all over it...

Wow! Captain Ross, "this stocky, red-haired Scot, scarred from head to foot". I just think that he is "one who are is Archie Kennedy in real life" :)

There are definite similarities aren't there? Although I think Captain Ross was a pretty difficult character at the best of times!

That's stunning! You are a very talented artist indeed. I love the image of the gull. Gulls have a special symbolism in our house :)
