Notes: so I was really happy when I saw this book because it has pretty much almost every single AoKise artist that I like (and then some) in this book save Escapizma. And Komae and Koman (who doesn't really do AoKise anyway).
So this book has a giant list of my favorite people: CUE (" Wherever you are", " Not Letting You Go Back To(NIGHT) (Konya wa Kaesa NIGHT)", and "Unmei no Coin (Coin of Fate)"), 4R (" The Me Who Can't Even Catch that Hand, Laughs (Sono Te Sura Tsukamenai Boku wo Waratte)"), ELEVEN ("Moshi Kuro", which I haven't scanned yet), and of course Tanaka (" Kanashii Mamono", " sunnyside laiday", and " Caramel Ribbon"). The others are also quite brilliant, of course, but when I saw that there were that many people that I like collected in one book, well...you can imagine my squee'ing.
The whole thing is designed to look like a sports mag, complete with ads. I haven't read all the tiny print "articles" so I really can't say whether or not it's funny, but I'm guessing it probably is by some of the pictures. I love the progression of the magazine introducing the way they met, to them in high school, to them on the national team, and then going on to play professionally (or semi-professional?). They go back to teach the kids at Teikou at one point. Kise turns reporter at other points.
Anyways...this is total eye candy. No two ways about it. The creativity that went into it made me bounce more than anything else. So many people getting together to make something like this! It must have taken so much time and planning!
