Yesterday morning, Jason thought he saw two brown streaks scurry across the floor of the bathroom. After he left for work, I investigated the crime scene and noticed the stock of toilet paper under the bathroom sink had been chewed on by the furries. I caught the second one and reunited it with it's partner in the forest. I really wish I could have kept them for pets, but there is the wild animals thing to worry about.

I don't think you're crazy at all. That little mouse hasn't done anyone any harm and what you did was lovely. :)

Those old fashioned mouse traps are vile. Good for you for getting a humane one. :)

I've never had a gerbil or hamster for a pet but I did have a rat, and he was the sweetest thing.

I would love to have a rat for a pet. They seem so sweet and intelligent.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a kill-less trap. At first glance there were only old-fashioned traps, sticky boards, and an electronic box that kills instantly. I had to ask the older man at the feed and garden store if they had something that *wouldn't* kill the mice. I think he thought I was a bleeding heart and absolutely crazy.
