Calorimetry

Jun 17, 2009 16:59

In an effort to prevent myself from going insane, I retrieved a ball of blue yarn from the new place and toted it across the street to my grandmother's house where I've been staying the past two weeks. I used it to knit myself a calorimetry.

i look like crap after a long day of cleaning the new place )

You are looking good. It won't hurt you to gain back a few of the pounds that you've lost recently, but I suppose it is only sensible to try not to lose the healthy stuff completely. Sorry the dresser didn't co-operate with the make over. Yay for internet shopping!

I've decided that my patience for furniture refinishing isn't very expansive. I like using a credit card much more.

I like it! Bookmarked the pattern so I can make one for myself later.

Yay for healthy snacks! The healthier you are the less your body can stand any deviations from the usual diet.

I've got a sweet tooth, so the cookies and such appeal to me. I just can't eat them all the time. They sap my energy and make me feel like crap.

The calorimetry is way easy to knit. Just a bunch of short rows, which are a piece of cake once you get the hang of it. I think you'll enjoy it.

Knitting is good! Furniture refinishing is kind of a pain. I think you made the right choice.

I was determined to find a lovely headboard and paint it, too. Unfortunately, lovely headboards are difficult to come by. I finally ordered one online yesterday. What would I do without internet shopping? (I'd probably have more money in my bank account.)

I did not know that such a thing as a calorimetry existed, but it is nifty!

Also, I think that you should head over to flickr and look at some pictures of this cute pet anteater (who is not *my* pet anteater, alas.) There are also a couple of chi's in the same photostream. :)

I am under the impression that the pattern for one was just recently created. I don't think they are sold in stores. If you want one, then it needs to be knitted because I've never seen them either. It's very nifty, though. I always wear my hair up when I'm out walking, even in the winter. It's hard to put a hat on to keep your ears warm when your hair is in a ponytail. This solves the problem quite nicely.

And now I totally want an anteater.
