Welcome to my LJ. It is full of genuine English eccentrics, of which I am proud to be one. Most of them are either musicians or academics, because I gravitate towards the former and work with the latter.

I am 46, happily single (not that I'd object to the right man, but I tend to keep meeting a lot of wrong ones, and I've got very good at fending them off), and owned by three rather splendid cats. I spend quite a large chunk of my time running after a tenor. Er, no, not like that. ;-) I merely look after a website for him and go round telling anyone who'll listen how good he is, because he's the world's worst self-publicist. When I'm not at work or doing that, I'm generally doing some form of needlecrafts, writing or translation. I've got a website here.

I also like cuddly penguins. There are not enough of them in the world. :-)
