That was just ... perfect.

I love it when the characters come to life on my screen...it's such a rare thing, and you do it so well :)

Thank you so much! This was one of those stories where the prompt was interesting, but I couldn't quite imagine how they would relate, and then they just started talking on the page and you get to sort of trip over these unexpected moments of connection. It was great fun to write. :)

I love Cassie, but not so much of Vala (I don't dislike her, she's just there) so I wasn't sure what to expect. I really enjoyed this tho. Loved seeing Cassie, and I'm so very glad that SG1 weren't smothering her/abandoning her/disappointed in her, and that she figured that out at the end, and also that she figured out that maybe she was part of her own problem. (Basically so glad that SG1 weren't being the 'bad' guys in Cassie's life!)

I also loved the little bits of Vala and Cassie bonding over their off-worldness. *g*

I couldn't see Vala telling Cassie about Adria (the details ie Grew Up Quick And Is Evil Ori Overlord), but at the same time, I wanted Cassie to know. *sigh* I shall just have to imagine that she has a conversation with Jack at some point and finds out. *g*

Also, love this bit:

"Is that where you go to horribly primitive parts of this planet and dig wells and get eaten by mosquitoes?"

So Vala!

This works really well - Cassie's frustration and uncertainty, and Vala knowing the right way to handle things, and the undercurrents that Cassie doesn't know about and Vala isn't going to mention...

Fantastic!

Thank you! I always enjoy doing an 'outside' perspective POV on my favorite characters, because I think it not only tells you a lot about the person being observed, but like in this case, unintentionally tells the reader a lot about the person doing to observing as well. Wow, that was convoluted. Lol.

Again, thank you. I am so glad you enjoyed reading it. :)

*loves* really really excellent. This made me sigh and smile and really want a girly few days with Vala and Cassie. I feel like their perspective of our world would be so very helpful, you know? It would twist my own around. I love how Cassie begins to see her second life differently, through Vala's own way of living and is beginning to reach out to the stars again, little by little. Perfect lovely reading :) So thank you and very much well done.

Oooh, I found a couple of lovely Parker/Hardison fics if you'd me to link them to you? Let me know xox

Oh, I'd love links. :)

When I first saw this prompt, I was like, 'how interesting!' but I never thought it could work. It was weird to trip over all the things they might have in common that you don't first think of. And therein lies the awesomeness of ficathons. :)

And I love giving out links so this works out nicely lol. First is More than a Team and it has the sex in it, but I'm sure you can handle it ;) http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4789749/1/More_Than_A_Team

And secondly, there's Changement d'Avis set during the orphanage one and this really touches me. I hope you like: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4794828/1/Changement_dAvis

Enjoy! :)
