1. That was one amazing fricking speech. Seriously. It gave me goosebumps. Too many wonderful parts to try to list here. Even Pat Buchanan and Bill Kristol (no liberals, they) were extremely impressed by Obama's speech last night. Anyway, to quote Barack, "Eight (years of the BushCo Crowd) is enough." Enough, already. Basta. I wonder if Bush will ( Read more... )

I was totally verklempt. Awesome. Just...awesome. As for the VP choice, best line I've heard all day--I've forgotten and can't find the source...

He chose a trophy running mate, not a partner.

Hee.
The ding-dong chose the most attractive, least experienced woman in all of Republican politics, but all the fundi mommas will put on their shoes and ask their husbands' permission to vote for her, so he may be crazy like a fox.

Here's to hoping everyone stays safe and unaffected by disaster in NOLA. I'll be thinking of your family, Anne.

A trophy running mate! I guess he needs to have a pretty woman next to him. He ditched his first wife because she was maimed in a car accident while he was a POW.

I want to cry for the Gulf Coast and La. Seriously...I'm just so upset about it, especially today. I'm so worried about my family in MS. I'm going to talk to them tonight and see what their plans are. I'm praying for you and yours.

Cook-peeps - I am back on TWOP (Jacob the mad moderator be damned). Look for me there as squeeemish :)

Yikes! I'm glad you're back. I am terrified of getting banned over there for something I don't even know I did. I scrutinize every post and then still worry about it.

What happened with giving people warnings or temporary "vacations" for minor infractions?

Dictators do not give warnings. Off with their heads!

I just got banned now, too. :-( I have worried about this SO much, but I really wasn't worried today since I really didn't think I'd get banned for anything I posted recently.

But I think I posted links to the mavid dance and called it "the dance that shall not be named." lol I guess that's enough to get you banned. My note said "banned for AI drama." I was not involved in any drama.

And now...this means I'm banned from the site forever, right?

Sucks, but I'm not going back. They can suck eggs.

Yeah your current username is banned from the TWOP site. I considered referring to the lack of the dance that shall not be named but figured the mod would be offended by that too. He's such a dick, I bet he doesn't even like Idol, much less DC.
