1. Was awakened at 5:55 a.m. by a thunderstorm. It woke up the kid too. She wanted me to come down to her room, but it was time for me to get up so I let her crawl into our bed. How wonderfully affirming for your dad that he was able to do that. I hope I'm able to drive that far at that age.

Damien Lewis!!!I knew I liked you. What a great wonderful hunk of british man he is. He's sort of disappeared off the landscape recently, but yum.

Mmmm, Damien Lewis. I'd never seen him until I started watching Band of Brothers on the History Channel. He's delish. I kind of see him as an older, and tidier, Bill Weasley ;) Did you know that his girlfriend/fiance', Helen McCrory, was originally signed to play Bellatrix LeStrange in OotP, but she got pregnant and was due during the filming, so she gave up the role and it went to Helena Bonham Carter. That's a good useless bit of information :))

Oh dear, poor kid. *sigh* At least the thunderstorm didn't come earlier. We had one in the early evening, so well done before they went to bed.

That would be kinda freaky for your dad and I can't blame him for staying away during the height of the season. Good idea with the luggage.

I can understand the feeling. My parents went through the same thing with my grandparents and my in-laws are currently in that situation with Mr. Bead's great-aunt. I hoppe I can give in gracefully when I'm too old to drive safely...*makes mental note to move to a city with a good public transport system by then*

I don't mind my dad driving around New Orleans so much. He's been driving around there for 60 years. I DO worry about him driving long distances by himself. *teeth chatter*

Heh, at least your thunderstorm wasn't at 2 am right when you *finally* got into bed. Ugh that was bad.

I was quite surprised that our storm waited until almost 6:00 a.m. Usually they ARE in the middle of the night :(
