1. Anyone else see that North Dakota TV ad? SacaKAweja? Is that how her name is pronounced? I always thought it was SacaJAweja, just like it's spelled

Ditto-ing this, though its my NoDak born husband that makes a big deal out of it, as his favorite fishing spot was on a lake named after the lass.
But if it helps, the first time I ever saw mention of "NaNoWriMo" was in a post where it was all lower case and being from northern Wisconsin where everything has an indian name, I assumed it was some sort of late harvest fest ;)
:)) I might try NaNo again this year. I actually have an idea for an original fic this time. I'm going to spend some time doing characters charts before I decide whether to try NaNo again.
I always thought it was pronounced Sacajawea but since we have been visiting sites along the Lewis and Clark expedition and reading Undaunted Courage I have found many variations of spelling and pronunciation. I think we don't know how she said her name. Spelling in those days was more creative than it is now. I don't grasp rap, hip hop, or most current day music. Color me an old foggy, I guess.
We were at a web cafe and they were playing the Rolling Stones, I don't get Mick Jagger either. He makes me think of a banty rooster.
Actually those gift ideas are for my father. Mr. Annearchy is getting a couple of shirts with breast pockets (his request) and a rain jacket, which he needs desperately IMO.
The shirts (3 of them) are now "boughten" as they say in northeastern Wisconsin. Alas, I couldn't find a rain jacket at either Kohl's or Target, so I might sneak into Burlington Coat Factory next Saturday and see what they have.
Your hail mary sounds good and gives me courage. I love things like that, and have become spoiled living alone and being able to indulge the Ed Spencer in me (Ed Spencer is a man at church who mixes his food)
Most rap music seems monotonous to me.I was born too old, I reckon.
