And, personally, I think Barb and Lassie make a pretty cute couple!
I think Lassiter really wants someone to, um....be in charge. Somehow I think Barb can do that for him! Plus, it sort of makes me hope she might be showing up in random future episodes? That would be pretty awesome.

I'd love to see Barb again. And ITA, I believe Lassie wants to be dominated. LOL! He seemed to be totally up for it. Sweeeeeeeeeet. ;D
And I was kinda glad to see Starke go. He was always one of my least favorite characters. When are we going to see Max Headroom again, though?!?
Yeah, when are we going to see that guy again? I can't recall the last time we saw him in the previous season either. Hmmmmm. Hopefully they haven't forgotten about him.
I didn't like Starke at first, but he grew on me. And there was always a bit of a slashy vibe between he and Carter, so no bad there. Of course, there's a nice vibe between Carter and Henry too. ;)

By the end, I no longer hated Starke, but I never really grew to like him. Some of the banter between him and Carter was deliciously witty, though. I will grant you that. As for slash potential, I don't see any in the show, but if you do, and it makes you happy, then I'm happy for you ;)
So, you're going to be weekend commuting to Gainesville for next little while? Audiobooks, baby! ;)
Just didn't want you to think I didn't appreciate them, ezust!
Oh, no worries! They're total junkfood reading: high-calorie, no nutritional content, but a tasty little nibble. LOL!
I hate to break it to you, but the blog of one of the Eurekaproduction team members put the nail in Stark's coffin. It was Ed's decision to go, and the plans were in the works from long before the writers strike. No plans to resurrect Nathan in the future. I've tried looking for the link again, but can't find it.
However, I gotta admit that I found the book kinda boring. Boring is the word I used to describe the pilot as well. It was one of those rare hours of television where I kept checking the time because it just felt like it was going on and on and on. I hope the re-tool refreshed it, though I'm not sure the basic premise of tone will ever grab my interest. I'd be willing to see how it's turned out, though, and if things change within the

I guess the necklace really isn't going to come into play - at least, not to save Starke.
Possibly a talisman Stark never told Allie about? I don't know - I do think you're right in that way too much emphasis was put on Stark wanting her to get it for it to have no meaning.
And I don't need audio books now 'cuz I got Sirius Radio, baby!
Oh, cool! My Sister #2 had it in her rental in March and we kept it on some New Wave station the entire time. Stuff I literally hadn't heard in decades and loved loved loved!
I really like the Sookie Stackhouse series -- it's one of the few I buy in hardcover as soon as a new book comes out!
I think the dude they cast as Bill is BUTT-UGLY and I'm mostly there for Eric, who's being played by Alex Skarsgard, most recently of Generation Kill. Long, lean and a badass motherfucker. Just like I like 'em. :)
I liked the first few Sookie books, but when she became hard core Mary Sue, I stopped reading. I got enough of that in my fanfic days, and didn't have to pay for it ;)
Maybe it's just because I'm comparing her to the Mary Sue of all Mary Sues -- Anita Blake -- but I somehow never connect Sookie to the author, unlike A.B. and Laurell K Hamilton. I've really enjoyed the last couple of books in the series!
What got to me was when no supernatural creature could come through town without falling madly in love with her. That just felt too Mary Sue-ish to me.
As for Anita Blake, I read the first book and hated it. I kept wondering where the fuck the editor was. Then I remembered that the books were making money hand over fist and didn't need editing, apparently. But I still wondered how anyone knew that in the first book.

Seriously. He's insanely fun. Plus, he's Jo's dream man!

Although I emailed it to you when we spoke, I figured there may be other interested parties reading this.
