So, you're going to be weekend commuting to Gainesville for next little while? Audiobooks, baby! ;)
Just didn't want you to think I didn't appreciate them, ezust!
Oh, no worries! They're total junkfood reading: high-calorie, no nutritional content, but a tasty little nibble. LOL!
I hate to break it to you, but the blog of one of the Eurekaproduction team members put the nail in Stark's coffin. It was Ed's decision to go, and the plans were in the works from long before the writers strike. No plans to resurrect Nathan in the future. I've tried looking for the link again, but can't find it.
However, I gotta admit that I found the book kinda boring.
Boring is the word I used to describe the pilot as well. It was one of those rare hours of television where I kept checking the time because it just felt like it was going on and on and on. I hope the re-tool refreshed it, though I'm not sure the basic premise of tone will ever grab my interest. I'd be willing to see how it's turned out, though, and if things change within the first few episode.
I haven't watched this week's Psych yet. I've been binging on Prime Suspect and saving up the few hours of American programming I follow during the week. ;)

Where's the blog at - scifi.com or somewhere here on LJ?
Anyway, *sigh*, I'm sorry to hear that. OTOH, I guess I'm slightly relieved that it was Ed's decision and not a producer decision to dump him (ala SGA, for instance). What was his reason for wanting to quit?
At least they gave us that incredibly slashy ending. I guess the necklace really isn't going to come into play - at least, not to save Starke. Total red herring. *sniffle*
Yeah, I'm going to be doing a lot of driving for a while - or, rather, the next four years, probably. Like I just got back from driving to UF and back today. Oy! ;)
It'll taper off when it all becomes a lot more routine, though, and certainly by the end of the first semester. Also when it's safe to move the car!
And I don't need audio books now 'cuz I got Sirius Radio, baby! Everything you need, too many channels and choices. Hee!

Possibly a talisman Stark never told Allie about? I don't know - I do think you're right in that way too much emphasis was put on Stark wanting her to get it for it to have no meaning.

Oh, cool! My Sister #2 had it in her rental in March and we kept it on some New Wave station the entire time. Stuff I literally hadn't heard in decades and loved loved loved!

Although I emailed it to you when we spoke, I figured there may be other interested parties reading this.
