Riley has Misty (Mysti?) to socialize with, but Ace has no one and he deeeeeearly loves canine company.
His former daddy claimed Ace didn't care for the company of other dogs. Either it's an outright lie, or his former daddy was stupider than I think (and given Ace's untreated, and now untreatable, medical issues, I think him very stupid indeed).

Well, I blush to say it, but yes, many people at the dog park do think that, and I believe even some of the dogs do.
At least, they seem astonished and curious, and then they sniff his tummy. The dogs, that is. Not the people.
Poor Ace, honestly. That damn thing is so uncomfortable for him because it keeps stretching the skin. We have balm for it, but he doesn't like the smell of that, and really, how much good can it do? Except to ease the itching, I hope.
