What about feedback?

I've always wanted to know what people think about feedback!

To leave or not to leave? )

Let me add something: I'm one of those people that deny they need feedback, but I've noticed that usually I feel more like vidding (Supernatural) only when I've received a lot of positive comments in my last work. Otherwise I'll just be 'meh, I'll just vid to another fandom now ( ... )

Noooo,I don't believe for a second there are people who don't like or care about feedback!
We do what we do because we like it right? And we would do it in any case right?Obviously if we can share it and also talk about it etc... is even better right?
And what about meeting people?!!?How do you think you can start a friendship if you always lurk and never talk?:P

I think that leaving negative criticism is for the real world!:P
If I read or see something very bad or that I don't like in general I don't comment, that's it!Why should I?

As a person who does not create any art/fiction etc I really try to make a point to comment.

I really appreciate what others do and hope that even one small comment will let them know that.

I love getting feedback, but if I don't, I try not to worry too much.

On giving feedback, I almost always leave something. Since I appreciate even one word or a "thank you" left on my work, I try to leave anything for people who's work I've liked. Hearing something is better than hearing nothing at all. :)

I agree, when you post a story (or a graphic or a vid) it's like you want to say something through your words, even if it's only about Sam and Dean and blah blah blah,it is filtered by YOU so that means you are talking to all of us...and what's worse than talking and getting no answer? It's kind of sad right? So reading "thank you" or only "Wow" means someone listened to you in some way!

Sometimes it's hard to right feedback...if you're so blown away there are just not enough words to describe that and I always worry that whatever I say, isn't conveying everything I fee lol...I try to leave feedback though, I just try and make the person feel good and proud I guess...

If I write a fic, I love getting the feedback, it makes me relieved if people tell me I don't suck lol, but I understand how hard it is sometimes

When I post a picspam I try to show you something through my eyes,I know they are just pictures...but the choice, the cropping, the colouring is personal,it's like putting a filter to images and tell a story! This is why I love to receive and leave feedbacks!

and that is exactly why i would say you're an artist, rather than "just" another iconmaker.

I leave feedback when I feel the person deserves to be acknowledged for what they've done (or they're accepting of concrit) and I'll write it instantly.

I like to get it to myself because I like to be acknowledged for the effort I put into my work and I think it's really interesting how different people can percieve the same graphic in an entirely different way.

I usually reply to comments people leave, but I sometimes feel a bit lame doing that :P
