I am not even joking when I say that the cost of medical insurance for me is more expensive than if I payed for everything out of pocket including the yearly fine

Call your doctor and have them INSIST your meds be put on their covered list. I ran into this exact same problem last year when I changed insurance companies. The medication I need in order to be able to EAT every day was not covered, and it took almost a month of absolutely refusing to accept any other type of medication. They -can- add it to their list, they just don't want to tell you that. If a doctor insists that a very particular medication works for you when you've already tried others, there is absolutely NO reason to fix what isn't broken simply because it's not what the stupid insurance wants you to take because it's cheaper for them.

And here I thought it was just Dad's company being shit.
But... they wanted to go through other meds to see if they worked. Starting with the generic ones. Which makes sense.
I second getting the doctor to insist at people.

So... Which country did you want when I get around to taking over the world? Because I'm reasonably sure there's a "Free healthcare/justabouteverything for people the new evil overlord likes" thing.
