A bit thin on postings?
I bought (and fit into) a pair of 33" waist jeans today! Last August I was wearing 38"s. Lost 50 pounds in the last 6 months due to diet. WOHOO! -
So that's what it looks like empty!
Our now-ex-roommate moved the last of his things out yesterday, so Wil and I are about to begin the process of washing walls, painting, and finding a new roommate (or two). The weekend was not at all what I expected. Drove down to Windycon with Gary on Saturday. Wil and I decided not to spend the money on the hotel, so we cancelled our hotel registration, thinking we'd just drive down for the day Saturday. Better Perspective on "Same Kind of Different as Me."
Well, it's been a couple weeks since I read the book Same Kind of Different as Me, and I've had a lot of time to percolate on it. I've also had the opportunity to attend an Anti-Racism discussion group about the book. Taken together, they have given me a very mixed perspective on the book.
