While yesterday was the day of scholarships, today was the day of failing!
Today I FAILED my co-op term in the summer.
*fake crying*
Boo-hoo..... I still graduate, still have co-op on my diploma, still get the NSERC.
The downside of this is????? -
I must be bipolar.
Yesterday I cried for about an hour, maybe longer. Because I had this gut feeling, that I was making a huge mistake in the taking the London job.
So I tried to undo it. I talked to Amalia at UT and to some people at the MNR. Then to co-op, who was understandably angry that I had contacted the employer behind their backs.

Why am I so miserable?
I just got a call from the UoT saying that I had NSERC pretty much, and I took that other job, and I am frustrated and I feel stupid. I worked really hard to get NSERC and then I got screwed into having to take this job, that's a good job, but I really want the NSERC ( Read more... ) -
A posting about co-op....
So...
I went to Waterloo, and I pretty much was told I had to take this job.
I'm not mad about it, it made decisions for me much, much easier.
So....
I'm EMPLOYED! With a good job through co-op (strange, but true!).
I talked to my advisor, and she checked, and basically was able to bring up the rankings on her computer and tell me that no one else was ( Read more... ) -
Another day, another dollar, another wall, another tower
Today was interesting.
We went to find buntings, but alas, only 30 or so remain, and this marks the end of the bunting adventure. So we packed it in after an hour or so, and headed back to the land of fergus. A delight for me, I went to the pool and swam for an hour, there were some enjoyable people there, all women, as usual.... which I'm not sure ( Read more... ) -

I missed 24 last night, so I'll have to dl it.
On the weekend, it was the anniversary of Matt and I getting together> Happy 7 years. We went and saw Reno 911! Miami, which was amusing, if anything. We went to latino's in Guelph for dinner (I had taquitos as usual, and the banana torte) and it was delicious. We spent ( Read more... ) -

So today was a fulfilling day.

LAPLAND LONGSPUR'D!
That's right. Lamble and I both banded our first lapland longspur today. He was giddy as a school girl, and I was excited too, maybe not as excited, but fairly excited.
We also had more buntings and larks, but the buntings seem to be moving on, so we'll see how many more we ( Read more... ) -

Century CLub
Today I joined the century club with lamble. And I'm not talking about beer.
We banded (that's NEW birds) 86 Snow Buntings and 15 Horned Larks TODAY.

So got an email from Forestry saying that they don't have my application, so I'm sending it expresspost tomorrow. Also - I don't think i'll eat ever again after hearing what Christine found in the bathroom.

Entered the ES photo comp.
Today we caught ~75 birds. Incredible. SNOW BUNTINGS AND HORNED LARKS.
