I just got a call from the UoT saying that I had NSERC pretty much, and I took that other job, and I am frustrated and I feel stupid. I worked really hard to get NSERC and then I got screwed into having to take this job, that's a good job, but I really want the NSERC ( Read more... )

Man, that's really really crappy. Is NSERC a one-time-only thing, or does this prolong things for a bit?

Even if you fail don't you have enough work-terms anyways. We only need 4 to pass and have co-op on our degrees but we have five scheduled in case you can't get employment for one or something.

Is ES the same?

Yes, ES is the same. I wouldn't have to make it up, although it would show up on my transcript (like it matters).
I wish co-op was like the real world, where you can politely decline offers! But they make it so that if you realize later even at ranking time, you're screwed.
Which sucks.

Congrats on NSERC, even if you had to drop the MNR job.
