I recently received an offer with one of my LoveFilm DVDs for 1 month's free music from eMusic. 30 Days of Knitting - Day 6
Day 6: What is your favorite piece that you’ve knit?The Dr Who scarf that I'm currently knitting (over 80% done now!) definitely comes near the top. It's so lush for many reasons. It's just over a foot wide and will be 9+ feet long when it's finished, how isn't that awesome? The colours are gorgeous and the yarn is fabulous, Rowan Pure Wool DK. ( Read more... ) -

Oops, I lost track of this during my super lazy Christmas break. Here we are again!
Day 5: How long did it take from the time your learned how to knit, to finish your first project?
I'm not really sure, but probably not very long as I took to it very quickly and my first finished project was just a small head scarf. Maybe a week or two.

Day 4: How did you learn how to knit?I was first taught to knit by my Step Mum and Grandma when I was little. I only remember it very vaguely and I only knitted little squares of nothing which usually just got unravelled and knitted again. I have 3 other WIPs at the moment.- V-neck lace jumper - I started this a year ago and worked hard on it for a while but eventually ran out of energy for the complex lace pattern, especially when needing to decrease, and I got so socially busy this year that I've now been completely stalled on ( Read more... )

Day 2: What is currently on your needles?
Right now I am mainly knitting a commission for my friend Jon - a Dr Who scarf, as worn by Tom Baker in series 12.5. I'm making it in Rowan Pure Wool DK, 15 balls in total and it will be 9 feet long unblocked. 30 Days of Knitting - Day 1
Day 1: What was your first finished project?
A very simple headscarf knitted using Rowan RYC Cashsoft DK in a pale cream shade. It was basically a triangle knit in garter stitch with knitted ties sewn onto the ends of the long edge. The pattern is an exercise in increasing from the Stitch n Bitch handbook.
