To want

verb in plain becomes verb in ます[masu] - take ます[masu] and add たい[tai]

e.g. 行く[iku] becomes 行きます[ikimasu] which becomes 行きたい[ikitai]

end with ます[masu] or と思います[toomoimasu]

Negative - don’t want.

~ たい[tai] becomes [takunai] (treat them like い[i] adjs)

Past - want.

~ たい[tai] becomes たかった[takatta]

Negative Past - didn’t want.

Joining

2 or more adjectives

い「 i 」 adj: take the い「 i 」 off and add くて「kute」. Leave the last adj です「desu.」

eg. たのしい「tanoshii」becomes たのしくて「tanoshikute

example sentence: 日本語はたんしくて、おもしろいです。「nihongo wa tanoshikute, omoshiroi desu」
Japanese is enjoyable and interesting.

な「na」 adj: exclude the な「na」 and add で「de」. Leave the last adj です「desu」.
