Did they have any positive suggestions of how to move forward? I've noticed that it's nearly impossible to simply stop doing something. Much easier to substitute new behavior.

Yes, they did. It is difficult to change behaviors without really thinking hard about it ( ... )

Excellent! So many of these folks tell you what NOT to do, but don't tell you what TO do. This is pretty good advice, IMO.
