I suspect an e-mail address would get inundated from those of us who love your work; might be safer to use a posting process that can't be easily spammed, like here or with a web form on a site. After all, I want you to have enough time to write more! (crowds of fen chanting "more, more ...")

Well, I think this proves that you are quite popular. I know you're one of my favorite writers, but I think you knew that. There's only one other author I know whose home I've been to (MSW). I should mention that all of my family except Dad (who can't read anymore) love your books, not just Tony, but all that they have read. For some reason I can't get all of them to read as much and as quickly as I do. Hope the gardens are doing well without too much deer predation on them.
Of course it's a great idea ....darcy807July 1 2006, 04:19:50 UTC
I think it's a great idea, and I'm all in favor of the .ca domain for the Website. I also think you're wise not to post your email address, although folkmew's and infobits' suggestions of using a forwarding address and/or (eventually) a Web form as a screen could work. You should probably include a disclaimer that you don't guarantee to read or respond. That gives you an out if the predicted flood arrives. Someone will still probably get their knickers in a twist, but your conscience will be clear

Gee, you mean they're not lining up at your door begging to deal with pet food, litter boxes and a pooper scooper?
The cat that delayed our departure for Gaylaxicon by hiding for six hours did the same thing when it was time to go home. We gave it up the night we got home, and I went back to my mother's the next day. I finally found her underneath the corner entertainment center - and under the living room couch - and behind the sleeper sofa, where I managed to catch her. I locked her in the bathroom while I got her litterbox and everything put away, and when I went in to get her, she'd gotten behind the shower curtain and was huddled in the bathtub. Of course, she was ecstatic to get home, but I'm not sure my mother doesn't think we torture her on a regular basis.
They will if Melissa has anything to say about it. She hand-sold your books to at least two customers today, although I think they were both Smokes. She's got the new Blood omnibuses (omnibi?) on her regular order list so they'll be ordered the same day they're available. We're buying at least one set, even though we already have at least one copy of each of them.

Excellent idea!
Is it still looking like you'll be staying with the beasties and Fi will solo, as you thought in Glasgow?
That's definitely what'll happen. It's just such a HUGE thing finding people to look after the animals and the garden...

I already HAVE all of them in paperback, so I didn't get it, but I'm very glad it's available that way now.
