The Enchantment Emporium anonymous June 20 2010, 15:35:05 UTC
Dear Ms. Huff,

I have just completed the reading of "The Enchamtment Emporium". I read a lot of Fantasy and SF. Much of what passes for "new" these days is pretty thin soup, but "The Enchantment Emporium" is truely enjoyable. I thank you for writting and sharing your vision of the "Aunties" and the world view of the Gale's.

Sincerely,

Bruce Waldo

I must also second my love of The Enchantment Emporium. In fact, I hadn't read any of your books before reading an excerpt of Emporium in a Penguin/DAW sampler picked-up at SDCC last year.

My brother is also a big sci-fi/fantasy reader and passes books to me after he's finished them. As a result I have the Valor series, but haven't read them yet (space based novels are not my preference at the moment -- I'm enmeshed in reading UF). However, since he gave them to me at about the same time as I discovered Emporium, I think the universe was conspiring. ;)

I'll further embarrassingly admit that I wasn't aware that the Blood Ties TV Show that I loved was based on a book series, let alone yours. O.o That fact was discovered when reading the anthology Many Bloody Returns -- again, around the same time as reading the Emporium excerpt. Since then, I have read 4 of the Blood books (the last 2 are on their way) and look forward to reading your other series as I can locate them.

I've also enjoyed reading your blog.

Thanks,
Colleen
