I've heard Chicago and rumours of Japan although that might be for a different year.

Chicago is bidding for 2012

Texas and Zagreb are bidding for 2013

The UK is bidding for 2014

Japan is bidding for 2017.

That will be cool if Worldcon is in San Antonio. The last time it was in San Antonio, I caught the flu and was only able to go to one day of the con.

San Antonio has great convention facilities right downtown with a ton of hotel space and the beautiful Riverwalk and dozens of restaurants right there. And it would be great to go to that convention center for something fun- I'm always there for the Texas Music Educators' Convention and it's just not that exciting.

I've never actually stayed in any of the downtown hotels although I've eaten at a few. I'm from San Antonio (born and bred), and I would just have to buy the tickets. I must say that my favorite restaurants aren't in the downtown area although there are some good Mexican restaurants on the Riverwalk. Still I would be willing to play tour guide for any writers who needed it. :)

Twenty years together? That is an accomplishment. May the two of you have a wonderful time in London, and make numerous wondrous memories.

Though I suspect the relationship is a lot like that of a certain comedian and her partner.
