I think everybody who still has the program sheet from your wedding should go to London and have dinner with you. I wonder whether that fabulous Chinese restaurant on Praed Street near Paddington Station is still there, and still fabulous....

Sounds good to me. Closer to the time, we'll need more details on the restaurant. nom nom nom

Met her on the train going in, and was grateful for her introduction to the World of WorldCons. Pls. pass on our best, and glad to hear she got home safely.

Loved her sparring on the series panel and the reading--someone who bases a god on a cat understands both well, but who put her in charge of the gateway drugs? Dangerous, that...

She's a wonderful person. You're a very lucky woman.

LOL. Not the whole state of Texas, but I believe the bid is for San Antonio. (We really wanted Austin, but the convention/hotel facilities are sooo much better in San Antonio...)

Austin would have been amazing but San Antonio is good too! (I just want to go to Texas *g*)

The committee is drawn from several Texas cities, and going by the conversation on the DFW-area group listserv, the voting was heated. San Antonio got the most votes, though.

I've sent off supporting-membership registration money to the Reno-2011 convention so Morris and I will have voting rights when the Texas bid comes up for selection. 2013 will be our 45th wedding anniversary year, and we had our honeymoon in San Antonio.

The actual bid is for Houston so I expect a big NASA tie in.
