My sister took a turn for the worse last night.  The incredibly high level of toxins in her blood has caused  hepatic encephalopathy and she is in a coma.  Even with life support, she won't survive more than a week.   She is dying and we are waiting for the call.  In the meantime, I am trying to get my mom on a flight to Georgia this weekend so she ( Read more... )

This is a ridiculously mellow St. Paddy's day for me.  Just weird.  I spent my entire life performing at multiple events on St. Patrick's day - when I was an Irish Dancer we did shows year-round, but St. Patrick's Day usually meant at least 3-4 shows in one day. Today my boss pulled me into his office to give me my year-end bonus....and it was a very nice bonus.  More than I expected.  But in the midst of receiving said bonus, he hit me with the following information:
