aww, it sounds like you've been very busy with your house :) I love having family projects around the house, this is the stuff memories are made of, so I'm sitting here smiling knowing your eldest is going to be looking back on this in many years thinking, "I remember fitting a coffee table with my mom once." :)

Banana bread! yum indeed!

You're right -- it's fun to look back on projects done with parents. And eldest did a bang up job of construction and painting, today! I'd have rewarded her with banana bread but she's not a fan, so she had a popsicle, instead.

Bingo! I am planning out a serious clean sweep of my household stuff in order to make the house a bit more livable and, eventually, saleable.

*nods* I'm the same way, feels so nice to be able to go through old boxes and consolidate, organize and recycle.

As you point out, if you're planning to sell, the more you do now, the easier it is later!

I love banana bread, but my kidlets need to be fooled into eating it in the shape of muffins. LOL I just made some banana chocolate chip muffins this afternoon, in fact.

Ooo, those muffins sound good! I could probably fool eldest into eating those. Youngest, however, vomits at the mere scent of a fresh banana (and several other soft fruits) so I'm happy that she tolerates the smell of the baked product!

I use the exact same recipe to make the muffins that I do for the bread, except I throw in 2 handfuls of chocolate chips. I use medium size muffins cups and I fill them about 3/4 full, and bake until I'm happy with the goldeny brown colour on top.

You're right; the smell of them baking is incredible.
