Home Projects
Back on vacation for one last day before really knuckling under as term time approaches. So, of course, we're doing little things around the house that desperately need to get done.
Today in home projects news:
1) I've put together the new coffee table from Ikea with help from eldest
2) We measured the door to her room for replacement (it has louvres in it, for goodness' sake, and the handle's broken and left a whole the size of Georgia behind it, so we must replace the entire door) but Home Depot's out of stock of 28"x78" doors at the moment so we'll come back
3) When we go back there, I'll be getting a new folding door for the bedroom closet, too, since they're all surprisingly cheap
4) Eldest and her father are staining the front steps and railing a lovely shade of colonial red
5) I'm finding more things to throw out, recycle or otherwise dispose of -- whee!
6) I also baked a loaf of banana bread -- yum!
