Oh well... Dora is clearly the missing half!

8 hour slots seems a bit long, but I think I'd find it easier to write for a 4 or 5 hour slot than for 3! I guess my games would expand to fill the time, though :-)

Yeah. I could see playing certain games over an entire day (in fact, I look forward to doing that at Christmas!) but a con game with a bunch of people I don't know? That makes choosing the right game very important.

Four hour slots is the norm here, and in Christchurch, so that's super familiar to me. Since getting into indie games, I've come to terms with the idea of Wellington's short three hour slots. Although a couple of games at Day of Games did seem a bit rushed.

Gaming over Christmas in Chch or Welly? If it's the latter, then I have to take leave for a whole 2 weeks (24th Dec-9th Jan), and boys will be at their Dad's for some of it... so I'd be up for roleplaying if my free days coincided.

I'll be gaming it up at Big Gaming Week (Dec 26 to Jan 1) in Christchurch (it's pretty much a house con at this point). I'm not sure when I'll be in Wellington, but it will be sometime in early-mid January (before Kapcon, but I'm not sure how long before Kapcon...).

Are you going to actually be up in my area for Big Bad Con?

Yes! I'm running Dungeon World (Tree of Souls) on Saturday evening and 3:16 (Delta Company) on Sunday morning. The rest of the time I think I'll be in open gaming.

Very cool! If I can participate that'd combine meeting you with scoping out Dungeon World.

There's sure to be a lot of Dungeon World happening in open gaming too.
