Thanks for your reviews. My brother went to Marumo again recently, as did my parents. They enjoyed the food (at least some of the dishes seemed the same as were served to you) but thought the menu the first time (around May?) was better.  zengu and I have been trying various places (as usual) but I haven't had the time to write up any...

I'm booked to go again next month and the chef said that would be their winter menu. Looking forward to that!
