that project sounds like shit i would do for friends in high school. thus, this is proof that all our lives, we are merely reliving our high school years in varied forms. :P

I don't know what to tell you except that experiences like this will give you practice in management because whether you believe it or not, avoiding "idiotic" tasks like this means you're able to manage other people's expectations of you as well as your own. Also, when you become a manager in the future, you'll be more wary to these notions and will run your team more efficiently.

And yes, you will have to be a manager one day if you move up the ranks. Unless you attempt to hide in academia but even then, you'll be expected to teach so good luck.

i wouldn't mind being a manager, actually. then i would have someone to be my bitch, instead of being everyone's instead :||| i am not a secretary ok. there are things that are simply not. my. job.
i need a good way to remind people of that without also getting in trouble for not 'pleasing the customer'.
