Today we went and had brunch with many people at Busboys & Poets down on V & 14th. The atmosphere was bright, busy, and comfortable, and the food was very good. I was definitely satisfied. It might have been a smidge expensive given the size of the portions, but the portions were more than satisfying. The coffee was pretty expensive, have to say. ( Read more... )

GOOD LUCK AT FIRST DAY OF WORK!!! Going to be early does actually get easy, I swear. My issue was dealing with the intense exhaustion akjkdfjk.

Also, why do you call streets like 5th and 14th? I have never understood that particular American custom...

j;elkfake;jag i had lunch with my supervisor's boss, and she was like 'this is your first job out of college? YOU WILL BE EXHAUSTED ALL THE TIME FOR A WHILE :DDDD' rofl in this weird sympathetic yet cheery tone of voice. she's right. i'm exhausted already.

nothing like clearance! i have the worst time buying nice pants because i'm so short. dresses/skirts usually work out well because it doesn't matter how long they are, but it's way too damn cold for that shit right now.

i'm a QA person at a contractor site for SRA international

hahaha. i like having the clothes, and getting the chance to wear them. i just don't like having to shop for them.

i am planning to learn enough chinese to fake it, provided they don't say anything to me that would require actual comprehension.
