Today we went and had brunch with many people at Busboys & Poets down on V & 14th. The atmosphere was bright, busy, and comfortable, and the food was very good. I was definitely satisfied. It might have been a smidge expensive given the size of the portions, but the portions were more than satisfying. The coffee was pretty expensive, have to say. Comparing prices between lattes, hot chocolate, and the mocha, a cup of steamed milk cost $3, a shot of chocolate cost ¢s;25 and 2 shots of espresso were ¢s;75. Altogether there were twelve of us. Tego's family (including her brother), a friend of theirs who's a year younger than Tego named Jocelyn, stillesprite, Clara, wakikaki and her friend Willa, and then me, mom, and annie.

life is so hard sometimes.

They let Tego make reservations a whole hour in advance, so i was up at 10 to check to see if they had space. Our reservations were for 11:15 (because just about everyone would be late), and then we drove down because it would be so much less trouble than three people on metro with no paper transfers. Brunch was wonderful, as I said, and the company was even better. We all left around 2.

first day of work tomorrow :x ちゃんとした社会人になっていく。 I am never going to like going to bed early.

From there, we drove down towards Metro Center so that I could buy some dress pants for work. I tried on a lot, and in the end settled on the first pair I tried (that was marked at 90 dollars, yikes!) and a three-piece suit that was marked down to 90 from 320. Dude. Neither of these pants came with a lining--actually i think I found like 2 pair there that did. What's with the cheapo pants marked up so much? My 90 dollar pants though, were on clearance and cost less than 20, so it was totally worth it.

mycroftnext: but still; that's usually kind of like saying 'between snowflake, AZ and modesto, CA, modesto tends to have more authentic pizza'

Then we drove up towards Chinatown for church. Mom did some amazing jobs parking considering the whole idea intimidated her. Actually, she did very good jobs parking, even if she weren't scared of it. Church was ok. After, since we were in chinatown, we had chinese. The chow fan had fabulous noodles, but the beef wasn't amazing. And the tea was crap. Not worth drinking.

The problem with Chinese food is that I can't really order it by myself. I expect chinese service, but I don't know enough chinese to ask for it.

food: レストラン, 疲れてるけど, without the doom it's kind of disorienti, 寂しがりやじゃない, food=幸せ, quotes without context, baito, i am so fucked it's not even funny, please let me live through this week, chinese, food, news, america, eigo, my god is an awesome god, annie, mi familia, sleep, with the random, socializing ftw
