YES! I loved this Merlin episode too :D It finally felt like a bit of season one was back, you know? It's amazing how right it all feels again with Gwen suddenly not in the picture :P

Omg I was literally on the edge of the seat for most of this episode! With how close Merlin came to telling Morgana, almost begging her to GET IT with how often he would say, "Trust me, I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE," and omg all of the Merlin and Arthur moments and the flowers and Arthur being sneaky and the staircase and the ARM ON SHOULDER and the chase through the woods and Mordred and THE FOG OF AWESOME and and EVERYTHING :DDD

hi, we haven't met before, but i totally agree with you on the "Gwen doing 180" thing...i miss her stammering rants too (along with the Arthur/Morgana tension). her whole "man inside you" monologue at the end of season 1 totally seemed out of character and actually sounded like a speech more fit for Morgana's character...ever since then her character has been all out of whack. bleh! good luck with writing your rant on all this!

Yeah, it's so funny that you say that about Gwen, because I was just talking to Lil about that very same thing! I feel like in a lot of ways they've forgotten that she's even a servant. >_> We've had I think two really, really brief scenes with her taking care of Morgana this season, but that's IT. As a servant she shouldn't have even had time to house Arhur and make him meals and all of that. Not to mention that she definitely shouldn't have time to get all done up in a corset, with flowers in her hair, etc. I was actually watching some of season one last night (as I was laid up on the couch recovering from my flu shot, which nearly killed me, I think @_@) and it was CRAZY, the difference between her then and now. Her dresses were much simpler, and her hair was shorter and not styled as much, and yeah... It really is like they've changed her character for the whole relationship with Arthur. And I miss those bumbling rants too. :( GRR. I'm really not looking forward to next week's episode. XD

*HAPPY SIGH!* :D i really liked this latest Merlin epi too! you could totally see from the longing look in his eyes how much Merlin wanted to tell Morgana that she wasn't alone! so much tension! this episode definitely finally took a nod at how Merlin was almost immediately smitten when setting eyes on Morgana in the first epi (despite Gwens slight crush on Merlin that has seemingly disappeared all of the sudden). the fog was totally awesome...not to mention the twinkle in Merlin's eyes when he said "wouldn't dream of it..." long after Aurthur was out of ear shot...*sighs*

glad you had a good time in regards to the rest of your weekend. congrats on getting the garage painted!

Yeah, I thought Merlin was really expressive in this episode. I wanted him to tell Morgana so badly! And you know, I don't think I ever really got that vibe from Merlin, that he was smitten with Morgana? I know the part you're talking about in the first episode, but for some reason I didn't really think about it much, I guess... I do wonder after seeing this, if they're going to try to take things in that direction, or if they're just trying to establish that he feels a connection with her because she can do magic. *_*

Anyway~ Thanks! It did end up being a fun weekend, and the painting was actually kind of fun too. :D

Yeah, it was a nice weekend. :) ...I hope I feel better soon too! I don't know why I can't get rid of this cold. >_> And then yesterday I got that flu shot, and it totally made me feel terrible all night. XD;;; But I'm better this morning--just in time for work. -__-

I didn't really like Morgana in this episode though...
Mordred was as adorable as ever... But, really, what's the point of him being in the episode? XD
But I was happy to have my Mordred^^

At the time I was thinking him showing up there would lead to...something more? Like, now Uther's men have killed two father-figure type people for him, and he's essentially alone again? So I was thinking maybe this would serve to support what happens later with him and Camelot (in the myth). But of course now I don't trust these writers to do anything right, so they'll probably never come back to him. I'm sure it probably was a pointless appearance. :P
