Hi! Maybe we haven't met before, but I feel like I already know you! Merlin fans are like family ♥
Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels that way about Gwen. It's disappointing to see that the writers felt like Gwen as she was wasn't fit to be a love interest, you know? I found her interactions with Lancelot to be adorable and sweet and just awkward enough to be flirty (but not), and granted she didn't have much sparkage with Arthur in season (I still don't think she does) that's what character growth is all about, you know? Having Arthur come to know her as more than just "Morgana's maid" I think would have opened the door to far more intelligent interaction than just these soft-lit, far away glances and Gwen always half-turned to the camera with a sorrowful look in her eyes and a pouty mouth. Ugh. The message coming across seems to be "seen and not heard" which is rather belittling for us gals that want to be liked for our personality, and to Merlin too for that matter, to have basically had his personality swapped with Gwen's save for a pair of breasts >_<
Whoever that sweet, loyal, heartwarming girl was in season one... she's not there anymore :( I'm going to miss her!
